The challenge for RuneScape gold us is that despite all our programmes and best intentions the problem is still enormous and, most annoyingly, nevertheless negatively affecting portions of our game. We’re continuing to battle bots on all fronts. In an effort to be open and transparent we need to discuss a couple of steps and initiatives we are just about to release/have released recently: We have recently improved our internal processes to be able to spot spam in the chat window and instantly mute the offender preventing the constant stream of communication from the gold farmers which are impacting the sport experience. Your reports are very helpful to us here!
Mandatory email validation for new accounts will add extra account security and impair the mass account creation that golden farmers use. There are several different initiatives and actions that we intend to implement over the next few weeks and we’re going to share these with you as often and in much detail as we can. The most important of them is to come shortly. Additionally, we recognise that we haven’t been the best at conveying what we are doing and that changes now.
While we are winning small battles by spending significant money and resources in trying to fight this issue, the war is not moving in our favour because we are struggling to keep up with businesses whose sole business 24 hours per day 7 days per week is to find methods to get bots into the game. As a result, 1 thing has become really clear to us regardless of our ongoing efforts.
We can’t win this battle . We want your help. So how can you help? To begin with, we would like to hear from you in a more coordinated way regarding your thoughts about how to fight the bots problem. We will be developing surveys to help us know more about bots directly from you… we would really like to hear your reply. We would love to prepare a unique forum where we could have targeted Q&A’s and get formal feedback from you about specific initiatives. We’ll allow you to know if this forum is set up and encourage you to join us.
We expect that you will participate with and encourage your friends to use any tools that we provide to you to assist us identify and prohibit the bots like the Spam Filter attribute. And lastly, we would ask that you refrain from using bots or supporting gold farmers. When there is not a marketplace, then bots won’t exist. As was so eloquently put in a current article on Tip.it”Standing around Jagex [by expressing one’s opinion on the botting issue], an individual could argue, demands a certain quantity of guts, but much more is needed to stand up to your friends”. The player went on to say,”The community should stand up for itself by following the principles and shunning people who don’t. Lacking customers, the sites that place the robots up will shut, and the only botter will function as isolated real player. In the end, after the three pillars of the code of behaviour that Jagex setup -“Honour,””Respect,” and”Security” are a duty of the gamers and buy rs3 gold the community as much as they’re of Jagex.”
